Contributions to Industry
We are very well served by some excellent organisations such as Aquaculture New Zealand and the Marine Farming Association (MFA) that provide leadership for our industry.
Senior staff of MacLab (NZ) Ltd are involved in providing their services to these organisations as follows:
Mark Burnaby (Aquaculture Manager)
After serving on its environment committee, Mark has recently been appointed to the board of the MFA.
Scott Gillanders (Chief Operating Officer)
Recently Scott was elected as chair of the board of Moananui, a newly formed Nelson based blue economy cluster group. The group’s goal is to transform Aotearoa New Zealand into a world-leading ecosystem for developing and commercialising blue economy products, services, technology, research, and capability. Moananui’s focus is on projects that increase value, connect people, and improve ocean health.
Scott has also recently been reappointed to the board of directors of Aquaculture New Zealand for a second term, and he has retired from serving on the board of the MFA, a role he has held since 2018.
Stoney Bourke (MacLab Tasman Manager)
Stoney is now in his third year of service on the environment committee of the MFA.
Gary Rountree (Chief Financial Officer)
Having been a founding director of the Aotearoa New Zealand Seaweed Association, Gary retired from its board earlier this year.
We thank our people for their past, present, and future dedication in contributing to these organisations.
